If you want this to be invite only, you should choose a different password than the Dollars of Durarara. Though I think that there will be leaks no matter what anyway, so on some level its futile.

Alright guys, from the looks of how both chats (IRC/Steam) and the wiki is going, we need to set some standards.

First off, what the hell is with this ANONYMOUS IS LEGION propaganda we have going on in the chats that eventually made its way to the wiki as well? We don't need horrible events to occur or terrible rumors to spread in order to 'honor' the name of Doll/a/rs (if we even go by that name...). If you guys want to spread the word on Doll/a/rs, the best way (mentioned in both chats) would be to start small with paper currency. No need to sully our name so soon, but that is IF you want to...

And what's with all this elitist bullshit from both chatrooms? We're all from the same fodder, guys! There's no need to act this way. Once we get our site built up, we can see the true face of what we've become. But for now, cut that shit out. Seriously.

I'm still hoping for the birth of Doll/a/rs though, but I'm not too thrilled how the foundation of what we wanted our goals to be will ultimately end up being warped to hell and back.

So what about a website name? Should be just be "dollars.com" or ".org", or should we have some fun with it?

We could always be something like "dara.su", "doll.ar.su" or the like.

What does Durarara!! use for the url, if it's known? And of course whoever stints the first bill and creates the site has last say in any deliberation.

I'm pondering the hierarchy of Dollars and how we'd recruit members. Considering the series' version is set within a single city, we'll also have to consider the scale of this as well. Are we gonna go international with this? I'm personally based in the UK, and if Dollars starts to have a street presence, I'd hate to be left out.

I'm thinking we could have a typical pyramid hierarchy, with a single leader at the top, several more regional leaders lower down and then the general members. The online identities of the leaders as leaders would have to be unknown to the general members, but these leaders would handle the adding and removal of regional members.

As for recruiting, maybe we rely on word of mouth within the chats themselves. We'd probably have to assert that the person proposed to join are the right type and that we'd be able to trust them, but how we could actually do this and enforce it remains a bit of a mystery to me right now.

Eh, chucking some thoughts and ideas out there.

Speaking of recruitment. I saw the links to junkuchan posted on /a/, right now this is the best thing we have, should we post anything on /a/, I'd say we post the irc channel. I wouldn't want this place infested with spammers and trolls before we get a site set up.

Okay, here the pace is a little more comfortable, threads aren't dying every hour, and it's not a real time chat which I bet makes many of us uncomfortable.

So let's start from here. I think we need our purpose more clearly established, and this can be our think tank. Use this thread to discuss what you think the Doll/a/rs should be, what we should do, how we should do it, all the details you can think of. Take your time, maybe brew a cup of tea, and sit back for a while and consider it, and then make a thoughtful post. We have all the time in the world.

I don't think we need a 100% guideline for what we are and what we do, but I think we need to be more enlightened on what the collective is thinking, to have an idea of what's actually going on here.

"Dollars" is already a really common word so googling anything specific would take more effort than most people are willing to give, there are bound to be numerous real gangs called the Dollars already anyway and if we knock out a few dozen fake blogs/livejournal/whatever making reference to the dollars it'll be hard to tell what's fiction and what's real.
