It's almost always historically been the Republican Party that has overspent or enacted laws to restrict personal freedoms. There were three republican presidents leading to the Great Depression with all their deregulation. Roosevelt and democrats enacted the Glass-Steagall Act which forced the separation of investment bankers and commercial bankers as well as prohibiting conflict of interest with officers being officers of multiple banks. The Republicans enacted a repeal of Glass-Steagall in 1999 with voting on party lines and that led to the massive derivitives gambling that forced the bailout or else a great many depositors in commercial banks would lose their money (among other things). So yes, democrats are filthy since 80% of the deficit is enacted by them. If you include the interest needed to pay the deficit borrowing each year, it would be more than 80%.

Now, that comment was a test. If you had followed who enacted the deficits, you would have exclaimed "but you are wrong" it was the republicans that enacted 80% of the deficit spending.
